Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
Three words used to describe the Creator and Lord of all: Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent (Omni meaning “all”).
The Bible contains descriptions of battles in heaven and on earth where the opposition tried (and tries) to defeat God and thwart His purposes. It is very significant and faith-enhancing to see proof of todays proverb. In fact, we can see that these battles, accusations, persecutions – even our Lord’s death on the Cross – have served to glorify God and fulfil His Will. I am reminded of a parallel statement in Scripture:
John 10:27-30 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. (28) I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. (29) My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. (30) I and the Father are one.”
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand:
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
