Good to know - 2
Listen to Zach Williams - Good To Know - (Click to play)
The foundation of faith is a conviction that you have encountered the God who has
revealed Himself in the Bible. Out of this you have been convinced of the need
to get right with God. This led you to repentance towards God and faith in
Jesus Christ who suffered for sin in your place. This set you right with God
and filled you with a sure and certain hope of eternal life.
This
is a bit like a blind man who met with Jesus. He was given his sight and could
say to anyone who challenged the truth or reality of his experience, “One thing
I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.”

John’s Gospel chapter 9
This
initial experience does not require any deep or complicated understanding it
involves simple knowledge that God has received you through what Jesus has done
for you. Your knowledge is based on the fact that God has brought you to a new
birth, You have been born again! Born of the Holy Spirit of God. A miracle of
God’s Grace.
These
web thoughts contain some things that will help that knowledge to grow. You
ought to be like a baby, needing milk, needing love and care. Later you want to
move, get up and walk, to grow up. God will do everything possible to encourage
you in this but He will want you to choose to obey Him and follow the Way of
Jesus and the teaching of the Bible. It can be daunting, scary, but taking
these steps means that God has another child who is willing to show what He is
like, a loving Father. This challenge is a bit like a young man that Jesus
healed. His friends brought him to Jesus on a mattress. He could not walk.
Jesus forgave his sins and told him, “stand up, take your mat, and go to your
home.” Do you think he preferred to stay laying down? Doing Nothing?
