Luke 12 v.25: “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”
If we had met on Sunday this is the verse we would have looked at. There are a lot of worried people at the moment. Fear seems to have gripped people who are now panic buying and facing what they consider to be an uncertain future.
As Christians we claim to have faith and trust in God. That faith and trust are well placed. There is really no point in the public agonising about where their next toilet roll is coming from or complaining about their freedom of movement being restricted.
Worrying about something we can’t change is pointless and self destructive. God is in control. He knows how this “crisis” will pan out and when it will end. All we need to do is trust in him and accept that his timing is not ours.
Let’s take this opportunity to be kind and offer help where it is needed.
