This Psalm rejoices in God’s goodness and grace – His generosity. The procession is moving away from captivity and beginning to realise that the Lord was doing great things for them. Their mouths were filled with laughter expressed by words of joy and thanksgiving. The simple fact that seedtime in all its hardships is followed by a harvest encourages them to keep on keeping on. They could see that Jeremiah spoke truth – they had a hope and a future. They were living the dream!
